February 2008
People on holiday in New York in April may get the chance
to join in with the city's annual tribute to coffee and
tea.
In
one of the most unusual events in its cultural calendar,
the Big Apple will host a festival entirely dedicated
to these two hot beverages between 12 and 13 April.
This
year's tribute will be the third annual Coffee and Tea
Festival NYC.
Among
the highlights of the 2008 festival will be an exploration
of the art of tea blending, hosted by Nini Ordoubadi,
a specialist in the creation of unique and complex varieties
of tea.
One of the developing trends among tea and coffee lovers
is reportedly drinking cocktails infused with the beverages.
Author
and journalist Kara Newman will lead a discussion on this
topic, which will include a demonstration of how tea and
coffee can be incorporated into cocktails.
Visitors
can find the Coffee and Tea Festival NYC at the Metropolitan
Pavilion on New York's West 18th Street.
