LINDENHURST, NY- On October 27,
2006, Mary Ann Esposito will join
in the festivities at The First
Annual Everything 4 Festa Italiana
at the Metropolitan Pavilion in
Manhattan. According to the National
Italian American Foundation, New
York State is home to over 2,000,000
Italian Americans. Fifty-three percent
of those Italian Americans live
in the five borrows or Long Island.
Everything
4 Festa Italiana is the first annual
two-day event in New York City celebrating
the best of all Italian products.
This consumer indoor event, taking
place on October 27 and 28, 2006,
provides attendees with the opportunity
to sample, view, purchase and appreciate
Italian food, culture, coffee, wines,
cars, cooking, travel. In short:
everything Italian.
Mary
Ann Esposito host and creator of
PBS’ Ciao Italia, the longest-running
cooking series on television, is
renowned for her knowledge of traditional
Italian cuisine. She has a warm,
encouraging approach to instructing
her audience of all ages. In spite
of the tremendous body of culinary
expertise she absorbed as the oldest
of seven children, Mary Ann had
no plans to pursue a cooking career
in a kitchen. Her first career after
graduating from Daemen College was
as a high school history teacher.
Now,
after producing her show of 17 years,
Mary Ann has been recognized by
countless organizations for her
efforts to preserve the traditions
surrounding Italian food and culture.
Mary Ann has written nine cookbooks,
with a tenth underway and her self-created
production company, Mary Ann Esposito,
Inc., has plans to produce programming
with chefs who share her same dedication
to authenticity and bringing home
cooking backing en vogue.
Mary
Ann will be appearing at the Everything
4 Festa Italiana on October 27,
2006 at 3pm and 7pm. She will be
holding a half hour discussion with
