JAMESPORT,
NY. July 24, 2008 – Andy Calimano, co-owner
of Starfish Junction Productions, announced today
that the 2nd Annual North Fork Craft Beer, BBQ &
Wine Festival being held on August 9, 2008 at Martha
Clara Vineyards in Jamesport, NY would assemble the
largest number of brewmasters ever to gather for a
single event on Long Island.
Carol
Stoudt, the first female brewmaster in the US and
owner of Stoudt Brewing Company (Adamstown, PA), Scott
Vaccaro, a 2007 Great American Beer Festival gold
medal winner and brewmaster at Captain Lawrence Brewing
Co. (Pleasantville, NY) and Brian O’Reilly the
decorated brewmaster representing Sly Fox Brewing

brewmasters to gather at the North Fork Craft Beer,
BBQ & Wine event. “Never before has a beer
event on Long Island attracted such beer royalty.
Having the brewmasters at this year’s event
gives the attendees an opportunity to meet the people
who make their favorite beers and gives the brewmasters
an opportunity to talk to their biggest fans and customers,”
said event producer, Andy Calimano. Award-winning
brewmasters from Black Forest Brew Haus, Blue Point
Brewing Co., BrickHouse Brewing Co., Butternuts Beer
& Ale, Cape Ann Brewing Co., Crop Circle, Harlem

in the event.
More
than fifty craft brewers, an extraordinary showcase
of national breweries and local favorites, will gather
on the picturesque North Fork of Long Island to participate
in the 2nd annual North Fork Craft Beer, BBQ &
Wine Festival. “Long Island wine country has
led the way in developing awareness for locally made
high quality wine. This beer festival will highlight
Long Island’s locally made beer,” said
Mark Burford, Brewmaster, Blue Point Brewing Company.
New
this year, the festival will include cooking demos
by Chris Palmer, Executive Chef at Maxwell & Dunne’s
natural steakhouse located in Plainview, NY. Chef
Palmer will be preparing a variety of dishes incorporating
beer from four exhibiting breweries: Black Forest,
Southampton, Peak Organic, and Blue Point.
The
event will help to raise funds for the Peconic Bay
Medical Center as well as the New York State Brewers
Association. A food drive will be conducted to support
the Harry Chapin Food Bank of Long Island Cares. Attendees
who bring a non-perishable food donation will receive
a free raffle ticket giving them a chance to win one
of many great prizes.
